Binions 300 PLO 6-max MTT

20000 chips with 25/50 blinds and 40 min. levels

---------------
Initial Table Draw:
4 hero
6 player with WSOP-C ring (from Golden Nugget MTT)

Overall, hero had been showing some aggression and making bluffs w/o showdown.

Hero's stack was down to 16100
Blinds: 150/300

Hero dealt: T865 (T6 suited)

HJ (vil1): raises to 900
but (vil2): calls 900
SB (hero): calls in SB
BB: folds

(3 players - 3000 in pot)
Flop: 962 two flush (hero has T high flush draw)
Hero: checks
vil1: bets 2500
Hero: raises to 10000
vil1: calls

(2 players - 23000 in pot)
Turn: 962 6 two flush
Hero: bets 5000 (AI)
Villain: calls

Villain: shows 9876

River: 96269

Hero busts and reenters for first time in live career.

Analysis:
Preflop: This is a standard flat call, although hero could have been nitty and folded due to top/middle gaps in rundown.
Flop: The check/raise three handed may have been somewhat loose. Although PFR could be cbetting often and wide, hero may also be crushed by chunks of villain's range (NFD+overpair/pair for example).
Turn: The rest of the stack goes in on a great turn card except for small part of villain's range (which villain had).

---------------
After reentry, hero was placed at "new late registration table". Hero also got a second receipt and second food comp!

Table 2 (Re-entry table)
Started 4 handed
2 Ryan (Binion's floor) to start
4 older Canadian person
5 hero
6 quickly moved to balance tables - Canadian in electric motor scooter

---------------
Blinds: 150/300

Reads: seat 4 seemed to limp/fold often when hero had raised (this happened 3 times)

Hero dealt: AAK4 (A4 suited)

(2 folds)
4: limps
CO (hero): raises to 900
But/SB/BB: fold
4: calls

(2 players - 2250 in pot)
Flop: AKJ two tone (hero does not have flush draw)
4: checks
Hero: bets 1800
4: calls

(2 players - 5850 in pot)
Turn: AKJ8
4: checks
Hero: bets 4000
4: calls

(2 players - 13850 in pot)
River: AKJ82 flush draw misses
4: checks
Hero: bets 7500
4: calls

Hero shows AAK4
Villain had jjxx

Analysis:
Preflop: Isolating limper seems like best play.
Flop/Turn/River: Hero bets for max value and maybe should have bet more than 4000 on turn...
Most live villains would have thought about raising with the nuts. Since villain never raised and hero had no reason to believe seat 4 was a strong player taking a pot control line with the nuts, hero can value bet relentlessly. Hero is check calling any raises and folds to any aggression on flushing cards.

Hero's stack: 37k

---------------
Twitter (520p): Sigh no action on kj4 two tone with hero aq t6 ds.
Hero got into a MW pot, but no one called flop bet.

---------------
Twitter (553p)
blinds: 400/800
No reads on either villain.
Hero is shortest stack at 30k
v1: ~40k?
v2: ~40-45k

Hero dealt: KK85 rainbow
v1 (UTG+1): raises to 2800
v2 (CO): calls
hero (SB): calls

(3 players - 9200 in pot)
Flop: A63 rainbow
hero: checks
v1: checks
v2: checks

(3 players - 9200 in pot)
Turn: A63K backdoor flush draw
hero: bets 6000
v1: flats
v2: raises to 21000
hero: reraises all in
v1: folds
v2: calls
v2 shows QJT4 no flush draw

River: A63K6

Hero doubles up to 62400.

Analysis:
Preflop: Flop: Standard check with underpair/no redraw.
Turn: It seems very unlikely that villain is slowplaying top set, but it's definitely possible on such a dry board (few wraps except for wheel wraps). Villain jamming with wrap with only 1 card to comes is pretty bad.

---------------
Hero eventually gets moved to another table.

---------------
3rd Table Reads (stayed until 2 tables remaining)
1 young (20-30ish) male, seemed competent type person, no reads
2 unknown older player to start, eventually Ryan (Binion's floor)
3 older, very loose player
4 hero? (maybe in seat 4 instead?)
5 bryce
6 older guy with glasses; likely canadian and "knew about Xuan Liu" possibly

---------------
Hero's stack: 37400 @ 500/1000

Hero seemed to be showing a lot of aggression, but picking bad spots to bluff.

There were many hands against a maniac "live" PLO player (seat 4) as hero had position against this player. Villain had shown some bluffs in spots, but seemed to show down value hands in spots as well.

one spot, hero called when

Note: Hero's rememberance of this hand is vague.
blinds: 300/600
Hero dealt: AJ74 (A4 suited)

(folds to sb, seat 3).
sb: limped
hero: raised to 1800
sb: calls

(2 players - 3600 in pot)
Flop: QJ4 rainbow (hero has no flush draw)
vil4: checks
hero: bets 2100
vil4: calls

(2 players - 7800 in pot)
Turn: QJ48 (two tone)
vil4: checks
hero: checks

(2 players - 7800 in pot)
River: QJ486 (flush draw misses)
vil4: bets 4200
hero tanks and calls

vil4: shows Q66x with flush draw
hero: mucks

Analysis:
Preflop: This is ok hand to open
Flop: This cbet was ok given bottom 2 pair. Hero doesn't really want a call though.
Turn: Hero has some merit to betting the turn to charge draws and get some thin value against a wide villain flop calling range. But, there's a problem if the pot gets so large and hero is forced to call a big river bet for ~40% of stack for a huge portion of hero's stack.
River: There's definitely merit to calling villain's donk bet given flush draws missed and hero has a bluff catcher. Villain had top of range though...

---------------
Additional read:
Seat 3 showed down quads 2x with 33xx.

II. blinds 500/1000 (15 players left)
Note: Hero doesn't remember exact hand, but remembers it did not connect with board.

Hero dealt: T985 (T8 suited in hearts)

hero raises to 2500
BB (3): calls

(2 players - 5500 in pot)
Flop: 3c 6d Js (hero does not have BDFD)
vil3: checks
hero: bets 3500
vil3: calls

(2 players - 12500 in pot)
Turn: 3c 6d Js Ad
vil3: checks
hero: bets 8500
vil3: calls

(2 players - 29500 in pot)
River: 3c 6d Js Ad Qc
villain: checks quickly
hero: checks

villain called with A9xx (no redraws) (Hero doesn't know villain's other side cards)
hero: mucks

Analysis:
Preflop: A reasonably connected hand and ok to open UTG.
Flop: There's some merit to actually checking this flop back against a looser player who probably isn't folding to a lot of flop bets. Hero decided to barrel given a possibly bad assumption that villain realizes it was an early position raise.
Turn: This seems like a good bet to represent top 2+ (or top/3rd pair) that's continuing aggression. It is a dry board though and villain doesn't seem to be type that slowplays per se.
River: Hero believes villain's range is strong here and does not fire third shell.

---------------
III. blinds: 600/1200
(not sure of blind amount (maybe twitter/HH), but )
hero 20k behind

At this juncture, hero has tightish image as only played ~10-12 hands a huge number of hands in 5-6 rotations.

Hero dealt: Q553 rainbow
SB (3): calls
BB (Hero): checks

(2 players - 2400 in pot)
Flop: Qd Kh Jd
SB: checks
hero: checks

(2 players - 2400 in pot)
Turn: Qd Kh Jd 8c
SB: checks
hero: checks

(2 players - 2400 in pot)
River: Qd Kh Jd 8c 3s
SB: bets 2400
hero: calls

Villain say she has air
Hero shows set of 3s and wins the pot.

Analysis:
Preflop/Flop/Turn: Normal given hero's horrible hand + lack of raise = not really hitting strong broadway board texture.
River: Villain and hero had some history to make the river call worthwhile. Even if hero did not hit set of 3s on river, this could actually be a call as villain seemed to be aggro, not a passive player who might slowplay hands.
Additionally, a raise by hero would probably not be called by any worse hands.

Twitter (616p)
Note: Another hand against a different player. Apologies to skipping around time wise, but it seemed best to keep the hand histories against the same villain consecutive.
Tweet:
Hero was pfr and cbet. Raised on flop. Check check turn. Check villain bets 10000
I think it was good to call in small blind big blind battle. But got top of range against villain oop. Kq q9 ss. Q9379 rainbow

blinds: 400/800
hero's stack: ~60k
villain's stack: 35k
No reads on villain (BB).

Hero dealt: AA95 (A5 suited)

(folds to hero)
SB (hero): raises to 2000
BB: calls

(2 players - 4000 in pot)
Flop: Q93 rainbow
hero: bets 2500
vill: raises 8000
hero: calls

(2 players - 20000 in pot)
Turn: Q937 rainbow
hero: checks
vill: checks

(2 players - 20000 in pot)
River: Q9379 rainbow
hero: checks
vill: bets 10000
hero: calls

villain shows; KQQ9 (KQ suited)
hero: mucks

Hero's stack: around 37k

Analysis:
Preflop: Normal.
Flop: TBH, looking back at the analysis, this is most likely a bet/fold on the flop. Villain could be raising some wraps, but in any event, hero's usually crushed by villain's range.
Turn: Hero is hoping to get to showdown cheaply.
River: As played, this could be a check/fold. Villain showed aggression on flop and could be trying to bluff the river with missed wrap that villain decided to check on turn to try to catch. But, it seems more like a nutted hand when board pairs on the river...

hero: thinks for a long time and calls.

villain shows AJ6x (A6 suited) for boat.
Hero mucks.

Analysis:
Preflop: This is ok.
Flop/Turn: Hero decided to give up on the pot...
River: Hero spewed and this should be super easy fold.
Villain talked a lot and seemed at least somewhat above "level 0 thinker", so the small bet smells super strong (likely nut boat).
What hands can villain bet that hero would call? Actually, nothing. Could villain have turned a hand into bluff? Possibly, but it seemed unlikely given the really small bet size.

---------------
Hero's stack: ~12000
blinds: 800/1600

Hero had been tight for 2-3 rotations and had to fold to 3b.
Hero dealt: Kd Jd 8c 3s

(folds to hero on button)
Button (Hero): raised to 4000
2: raises to 15000
Hero: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: In honesty, was hero's image so tight that hero could steal here? It seems doubtful. It's a top 75% hand!

---------------
Blinds: 800/1600
Bet called at 54 double suited on j87. Could not run out q988.

Hero dealt: AT54 (AT) (54) double suited

folds to hero in CO
(Hero): raised to 4000
Button: folds
SB: folds
BB: calls

(2 players - 8800 in pot)
Flop: J87 two tone (hero has nut flush draw)
vill: checks
Hero: bets 5500
vill: raises AI (~20k)
Hero: calls

Villain: shows Q988 (no suit)

Hero bricks (doesn't remember board run out).

Analysis:
Preflop: Suited Ace seems like OK open, although hot/cold equity is not great (ATxx).
Flop: Hero's best option is to bet/call as hero has nut flush equity.

---------------
Hero out: 10/28 (5 pay)
The field seemed a bit looser and more aggressive than a full ring MTT, which is normal, but some players may have over-compensated.
