WSOP 2014 Overall Thoughts

1. Hero took a ton of notes on structure sheets to "stay engaged". It felt very much like my online poker playing.
1A. 2-4 sheets keeping notes on other players (think of chopping paper in 2 or 4 and taking notes on actions)
1B. Taking notes on hero's hands/reflections for later review

2. Food comps! Hero got 8 * $10/off. Some floors were nice and gave a ton, especially 1 after sympathizing with hero's losing 2 "flop time rake" spots.

3A. Timed pot rake - based on max size
3B. "Flop pot rake" - first card of flop is A-9, that player in particular seat pays; if card is T-K, look at 2nd card, etc...
3C. Sadly, hero had to pay 2x in a row in 5-5 PLO with A on 1st card, TA on 2nd :(

4. Hero got a quick cash game session in on Sunday before flight.

5. Hero thought about playing the WSOP 8 game. But, hero decided to stick with MTT "budget" and was also not 100% mentally prepared.

6. Hero need to learn to sleep earlier to get to big bet MTTs on time. It was troublesome for all the small stakes MTTs.

7. Monster stack madness was way more than anyone expected. It was sad because it directly affected me (no SNGs the night before, little/no cash gaming). On a positive, it was great to rail a friend in the PPC.

8. Dealer's Choice is a great MTT. Once I plug some leaks in Badeucy/Badacey, I would feel more comfortable playing in this MTT.
9. It was great to catch up with many friends and am happy for friends’ accomplishments during the WSOP.
