Registration was so booked for the 2nd flight, that my friend (and numerous others) were flighted to start later.
The hope for some was an earlier start (say 9:20), but eventually....almost everyone was told to start their flights at 10:40 PST and play 3 levels.
Unfortunately, every table was being used for monster stack MTT. Thus, no cash games and no PLO8 sngs :(.
On the positive side, hero got to meet a bunch of new people and friends, plus rail a friend who was in the Poker Player's Championship final table.
hero thought about going to Venetian to grind, but decided against it. They were running cash games (PLO8, Big O) and maybe it would have been smarter to at least visited the Venetian. It was weird b/c this was first time hero didn't visit Venetian.
