---------------
Hero late registered in level 2.

Hero had to park at Cosmopolitan and walk to Aria due to MGM casinos now charging self park fees for non-Nevada residents.
At downtown casinos (which have similar self-parking fees for garages), poker tournament directors comp parking for tournament and cash game players.

---------------
Hero's stack at Level 7 break (Blinds: 200/400) - 16700

---------------
Level 4 - Blinds: 200/400

Vil2: bets 400
Hero: folds
Vil8: folds

(folds to Vil5)
Vil5 (UTG+2): calls
Hero (BB): raises to 1400

Hero: calls

Vil5: shows Qx Td 3d 2x

(2 players - 29400 in pot, 1 player all in)
Board: 5d 4d Ad 2d Ac

Hero chops pot.

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: This is actually better to check. It's a static (lock down) board. A set or better low draw/wheel can get there, but otherwise this is a spot to check back and keep stacks deep.
Turn: Hero decides to continue aggression. Same situation as flop. Hero is forced to bet/call for most of hero's stack. Fortunately, both players are chopping.

---------------
Hero's stack: 19400

Vil5: likely shows 6 high straight.

Hero gets quartered.

Hero's stack: 19400 -> 9700

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has top pair/top kicker and nut low draw.
Turn: Standard. Hero is concerned about being quartered with naked wheel. Stacks are also shallow.
River: Standard. Hero is calling, but hero could also be behind.

Hero: checks
Vil9: bets 1800
Vil5: calls
Vil6: folds
Hero: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has 1 pair and 2nd nut low. Hero could peel, but in a MW pot, it is quite dangerous.

Vil6?: calls (all in)

Vil2: shows Ax 3x Xx Xx
Vil6: shows Ac Qx Jx 5c

Board: 5c 3c 3x 4x 7x

Hero and Vil6: out

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: This was a huge mistake. Hero has no equity, and perhaps was trying to spew to reenter.
It's not a great strategy to throw an entry away, but that's what happened here.

---------------
Hero walks back to Aria poker room and re-enters after break. Hero is still mad about his play.

Hero's stack: 15000

---------------
Second Entry - First Table Reads:

Flop: Standard. Hero does noot really have much fold equity and decides to pot control with short stack.
Turn: Standard with nut/nut (nut high and nut low)

---------------
Hero's stack: 17300

Hero dealt in HJ: Ax Kx 9x 3x (rainbow)

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (HJ): raises to 2500
Vil8 (CO): calls
Vil9 (But): reraises to 4700
(folds to Hero)
Hero: reraises all in
Vil8: calls

Vil8: shows Kx Qx Jx Tx rainbow
Vil9: shows Ac 5x 3c 2x

(3 players - ~40400 in pot, 2 players all in)
Board: 9x 9x 5x 2x 5x

Hero: scoops
Hero's stack: 17100 -> 38900

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard for first raise. Hero tries to squeeze to isolate short stack. Even if hero is called, hero likely has best high hand and ok low draw. Hero suspects one of two villains to have a better A2 low draw.

---------------
Hero dealt in BB: As 8x 5x 3s

(7 handed)
Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Vil6 (SB): raises to 2500
Hero (BB): calls

(2 players - 5000 in pot)
Flop: 8d 3h 4c
Vil6: bets 2500
Hero: calls

(2 players - 10000 in pot)
Turn: 8d 3h 4c 5s
Vil6: bets 10000
Hero: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero is trying to pot control. Hero likely has best hand.
Turn: Standard. There could be some argument that Vil6 is "representing A2", but most players who raise have A2. Hero has some redraws, but hero does not have correct pot odds to call.

---------------
Hero dealt in UTG+2: Ac 6x 3c 3x

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (UTG+2): calls
Vil8 (HJ): folds
Vil9 (CO): raises to 3000
(folds to Vil3)
Vil3 (BB): reraises to 10000
Hero: folds
Vil9: raises all in
Vil3: calls

Hero did not write down either player's hand unfortunately.

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard. Hero has suited A36 for high and a non-A2 low hand. Hero may call one raise, but not a reraise for most of hero's stack.

---------------
Hero dealt in UTG: Kd Jh Td 8h

Preflop:
Hero (UTG): calls
(folds to Vil5)
Vil5 (SB): calls
Vil6 (BB): checks

(3 players - 3000 in pot)
Flop: 5c 4c 8d
Vil5: bets 3000
Vil6: folds
Hero: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard in early position only if table is loose/passive (which table is loose/passive). Hero has high only run down.
Flop: Standard. Hero is check/folding a 3 low board.

---------------
Hero dealt in But: Ah Qh 9x 8x

Preflop:
Vil8 (UTG): calls
(folds to Hero)
Hero (But): calls
Vil8 (SB): calls
Vil9 (BB): checks

(4 players - 4000 in pot)
Flop: 3c 2c 6h
(Hero is unsure of action, but folds to bet.)

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero does not have any equity on this board.

---------------
Level 8 - Blinds: 600/1200

Hero dealt in SB: Qx 5x 5x 2x

Read: Vil9 seemed to be weak/tight and passive.

Preflop:
Hero (SB): calls
Vil9 (BB): checks

(2 players - 2000 in pot)
Flop: Ax 9x Qs
Hero: bets 1500
Vil9: calls

(2 players - 5000 in pot)
Turn: Ax 9x Qs Qx
Hero: checks
Vil9: checks

(2 players - 5000 in pot)
River: Ax 9x Qs Qx 5c
Hero: bets 3000
Vil9: folds saing he had "wrap, no flush draw"

Analysis:
Preflop: This is fine based on read. Hero would play well and steal many pots.
Flop: This is ok. Vil9 would likely fold a lot of range, so flop bet seems worthwhile.
Turn: Hero is slowplaying with likely best high hand against Vil9's made hand range. Hero did not believe there were many draws in range.
River: Hero value bets with very likely best hand and hopes to get called by aces up. Unfortunately, Vil9 has draw.

---------------
Hero dealt in HJ: As Qx 3x 3s

Preflop:
Vil4 (UTG): folds
Vil5 (UTG+1): raises to 3000
Vil6 (UTG+2): calls
Hero (HJ): calls
(all other players fold)

(3 players - 9000 in pot)
Flop: Ah Kx 6x
(all players check)

(3 players - 9000 in pot)
Turn: Ah Kx 6x Qh
Vil5: bets 3000
Vil6: folds
Hero: calls

(3 players - 9000 in pot)
River: Ah Kx 6x Qh 6d
Vil5: checks
Hero: checks

Vil5: shows Kh 4x 3x 2h
Hero: wins pot.

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has an ok made hand (top pair, top kicker) on a 2 low board, but hero may not even have best hand.
Turn: Hero may have the best hand, but hero decides to pot control. It's a tough spot. Would Vil6 tag along with naked nut low draw? Would hero's raise have fold equity, and/or be for value against Vil5.
River: Hero sees few worse hands that will call a value bet (maybe AJxx), so hero checks to get to showdown.

---------------
Hero dealt in BJ: Ac Qx 8c 2x

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (HJ): raises to 3000
(all other players fold)

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.

---------------
Second Entry - First Table Updated Reads:

1 PLO8 reg (Thomas M.)
2 older guy, light blue hoodie, eventually get read that Vil2 is a NLHE player that is trying out PLO8
3 European male with leather coat
4 grey haired, middle aged Asian (has previous experience playing against hero)
5 mid aged Asian with cap
6 older guy - played PLO MTTs
7 hero
8 wheelchair person (likely level 8 or 9, then busts pretty quickly), then old guy with glasses
9 O8 reg (Josh P.)

---------------
Level 9 - Blinds: 800/1600

Hero dealt in UTG+2: Ac Qc 3x 2x

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (UTG+2): raises to 4000
Vil8 (HJ): folds
Vil9 (CO): reraises to 6000 (all in)
(folds to Hero)
Hero: calls

Vil9: shows Ax Kh Th 3x

(2 players - 14400 in pot, 1 player all in)
Board: Ax 4d 6d Tx 5d

Hero: chops pot

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard to raise in early position, and standard to call short stack raise all in.

---------------
Level 10 - Blinds: 1000/2000

Hero dealt in HJ: As Kc Kx 4x

Read: Vil2 is likely a NLHE player.

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (HJ): raises to 5000
(folds to Vil2)
Vil2 (BB): calls

(2 players - 10800 in pot)
Flop: 5s 9s 9c
Vil2: checks
Hero: checks

(2 players - 10800 in pot)
Turn: 5s 9s 9c 4s
Vil2: bets 4000
Hero: raises to 15000
Vil2: folds and says hero is bluffing

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has nut flush blocker.
Turn: A good play by hero based on a read. Hero makes play at pot because it was a good board for flop slowplay, and hero likely needs to raise to avoid a "free low card" draw to river.

---------------
Hero dealt in SB: Ax Js Jx 2s

Preflop:
(folds to Vil3)
Vil3 (UTG+2, 43k): raises to 5000
(folds to Hero)
Hero (SB, ~65k): calls
Vil8 (BB, ~25k?): calls

(3 players - 15000 in pot)
Flop: Qs Ts 5x
Hero: checks

Hero: calls
Vil8: folds

(2 players - 31000 in pot)
Turn: Qs Ts 5x 6x
Hero: checks
Vil3: bets 30000 (all in)
Hero: tanks, folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero is looking to peel and reevaluate on the turn.
Turn: Hero did not account for Vil3's short stack. Hero should donk pot all in on the turn. Instead, hero is forced to fold.

---------------
Level 12 - Blinds: 1500/3000

Hero dealt in BB: Ax Kh 8x 2h

Preflop:
(folds to Vil5)
Vil5 (But, 30500): raises to 6000
(folds to Hero)
Hero (BB, 54800): reraises to 20000
Vil5: reraises all in
Hero: calls

(2 players - 61800 in pot, 1 player all in)
Board: 8x 5h 3s Qh 7x

Vil5: 30500 -> 45700
Hero: gets quartered
Hero's stack: 54700 -> 39500

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard. Hero could also decide to play a flop without turning it into a 3 bet pot.

---------------
Hero's stack at Level 13 break (Blinds: 2000/4000) - 39500

---------------
After dinner:
1. Hero missed steal opportunity on button against tight player in SB and player who had not returned from dinner.
2. Hero stole on button with Jx 7s 6s 2x versus same 2 players on next orbit.

---------------
Second Entry - First Table Updated Reads:

1 PLO8 reg (Thomas M.)
2 older African American person (Mel R.) and hero has played many PLO8 MTTs and SNGs with this player
3 European male with leather coat
4 grey haired, middle aged Asian (has previous experience playing against hero)
5 mid aged Asian with cap
6 older guy - played PLO MTTs
7 hero
8 wheelchair person (likely level 8 or 9, then busts pretty quickly), then old guy with glasses
9 O8 reg (Josh P.)

---------------
Level 13 - Blinds: 2000/4000

Hero's stack: ~39500

Hero dealt in BB: Ac Kc Jx 4d

(8 handed)
Preflop:
Vil9 (UTG): calls
Vil1 (UTG+1): calls
(folds to Hero)
Vil7 (SB): calls
Hero (BB): checks

(4 players - 16000 in pot)
Flop: Xx Xx Xx
Vil7: checks
Hero: bets 11000?
(all players fold)

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Hero did not write down board unfortunately. Hero may have donk bet with top 2 or better on 2 low board (say AJ3 rainbow). Considering hero's stack size, this was a bet/call situation.

---------------
Hero dealt in SB: As Js 9h 3h

(8 handed)
Preflop:
(folds to Vil5)
Vil5 (But): raises to 12000
Vil6 (SB): folds
Hero (BB): calls

(2 players - 26000 in pot)
Flop: Qd 7h 7s
Hero: checks
Vil5: bets ~14000?
Hero: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has little equity. There is a small possibility to try to check raise a dry board, but this would put hero's tournament life at risk with almost no equity.

---------------
Redraw with 27 players remaining (3 tables).
Hero's stack: 35500

---------------
Second Entry - Second Table Reads (Table 25) (3 Tables Left):

1 unknown male - busted within 2 hands of joining table
2 African American (Mel R.) - PLO8 reg, Table 31, seat 2
3 Euro with PokerStars shirt
4 PLO8 reg (Thomas M.)
5 older guy with glasses
6 hero
7 young/middle aged Asian
8 old guy with glasses
9 old guy with Las Vegas baseball jersey (possibly UNLV baseball jersey)

---------------
Level 14 - Blinds: 2500/5000

Hero's stack: 45000

Hero dealt in BB: Xx Xx Xx Xx (Hero did not write down hand by mistake.)

Preflop:
(folds to Vil6)
Vil6 (SB): calls
Hero (BB): raises to 15000
Vil6: calls

(2) players - 30000 in pot)
Flop: 6c 3c 3d
Vil6: checks
Hero: bets 30000 (all in)
Vil6: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: This would be normal with strong AB2 or AB3 hands. Hero did not write down hand though.
Flop: This would be normal with A2, A3, etc...Hero did not likely make this play with air.

---------------
Hero dealt in BB: Ax 7x 6x 2x

Preflop:
(folds to Vi5)
Vil5 (But): raises to 17500
Vil6 (SB): folds
Hero (BB): tanks, folds

Analysis:
Preflop: This is close. While hero has an A2xx hand with 3 low cards (increasing) chances of surviving due to counterfeit protection, hero has A7 for high. Hero decides to pass and wait for a better spot.

---------------
Hero dealt in But: 7x 6x 4x 3x

Reads: Vil8 seemed tight, while Vil9 is a PLO8 regular.

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (But, 40k): raises to 12000
Vil8 (SB, 200k): folds
Vil9 (BB, 50k): folds

Analysis:
Preflop: A loose steal on button. Hero has a middling hand, but hero hopes to steal blinds. Vil8 seemed tight, while Vil9 was playing a normal PLO8 BB defend range, so it's generally somewhat tight.

---------------
Level 15 - Blinds: 3000/6000

Hero's stack: 60000

Hero dealt in HJ: Ac 6x 4x 2c

(7 handed)
Preflop:
Vil4 (UTG, 40000): raises to 21000
(folds to Hero)
Hero (HJ, 60000): calls
(other players fold)

(3 players - 51000 in pot)
Flop: Kx 2x 2x
Vil4: bets 19000 (all in)
Hero: snap calls

Vil4: shows Ax Kc 5c 3x

(2 players - 89000 in pot 1 all in)
Board: Kx 2x 2x 8x 3x

Hero: scoops
Hero's stack: 106000

Analysis:
Preflop: Close, but it's more likely a call, especially in what can be a MW pot with other players left to act. Hero could fold too given hero's high hand strength is very weak (A6).
Flop: Standard.

---------------
Second Entry - Third Table Reads (Table 29) (2 Tables Left):

1 middle Eastern mid aged male (Raouf M.) and PLO8 reg
2 mid aged guy
3 old guy with glasses
4 middle aged Caucasian with glasses (Brad R.) and PLO8 reg
5 hero
6 younger/middle aged Caucasian (Mike B.)
7 younger guy with glasses
8 older guy with LB baseball jersey (Table 25, seat 9)
9 old guy with glasses (likely Table 25, seat 8)

---------------
Level 15 - Blinds: 3000/6000

Hero dealt in UTG+3: Ac Qx 4c 3x

Vil2 is older player.
Hero's image: tight

Preflop:
Vil2 (UTG): folds
Vil3 (UTG+1): raises to 14000
Vil4 (UTG+2): folds
Hero (UTG+3): reraises to 42000?
(folds to Vil3)
Vil3: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: A raise or call is normal. Hero decides to reraise to isolate, and also somewhat misrepresent hand as AAxx. Additionally, since this is hero's first reraise at the table, it may cause some villains to fold. This may not have been an ideal reraise spot without reads as hero did not have reads about Vil1's preflop play.

---------------
Hero's stack at Level 16 break (Blinds: 4000/8000) - 123000

---------------
Level 16 - Blinds: 4000/8000

Read: Vil4 is a PLO8 reg, but is unsure if Vil4 is tight/loose preflop or in blind situations.

Hero dealt in BB: Qx 9s 2s 2x

Preflop:
(folds to Vil4)
Vil4 (SB): calls
Hero (BB): checks

(2 players - 16000 in pot)
Flop: Ax 7s Ts

Vil4: calls

(2 players - 36000 in pot)
Turn: Ax 7s Ts 2x
Vil4: bets 25000
Hero: calls

(2 players - 86000 in pot)
River: Ax 7s Ts 2x 6x (hero thinks it is unlikely flush came on river)
Vil4: bets 35000
Hero: calls

Vil4: shows 9x 8x 5s 3s (Hero originally wrote Tx 8s 5x 3x, but that hand does not make sense)
Hero: mucks

Hero's stack: 41000

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Hero is semi-bluffing to try to win pot with some non-nut draws in HU pot. Vil4 may fold a weak Axxx hand that has a bad kicker and no low draw.
Turn: Great card for hero, but it also puts a lot on board (albeit a counterfeited one). Hero decides to let Vil4 continue betting with worse high hands (bad 2 pair) or nut low/counterfeited low).
River: With a low on board, hero does not see value in raising with a 1 way hand to try to get villain to fold a weak 2 pair or weak 2 low cards. Hero simply tries to get to showdown cheaply.

Vil4: says many players would raise river, but it was good hero did not because no worse hand is calling.

---------------
Hero's stack: 41000

Hero dealt in UTG+2: Ac Kx 5c 2x

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (UTG): raises to 28000
(all players fold)

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard. With less than 7 BBs, hero follows other people's precedent of raising pot. Hero is still on fence as to whether this is right play, because an opponent who is not looking at stack sizes (but is observant) will notice a short stack trying to price themselves into calling.

---------------
Level 17 - Blinds: 5000/10000

Hero's stack: 35000
16 players left, 13 pay

Hero dealt in But: Ah Qx Jx 2h

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (HJ): raises to 35000
(folds to Vil9)
Vil9 (BB): calls

(2 players - 75000 in pot, 1 all in)
Board: Ax 9h 8x 6x 9x

Hero: out in 16th.

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard. Hero has strong A2 hand. While hero would prefer a 3rd low card for counterfeit protection, hero commits tournament life with 4 hands left before big blind.

---------------
Hero out 16/129.

Analysis:
After spewing first bullet, hero generally played well.
The field was extremely tough once the dead money busted. Hero was at a "table of death" with many PLO8 MTT and cash game regs. Hero felt ok against this table draw after much online practice prior to tournament series.
Hero was also selectively stealing in obvious blind spots with no hand as he was continuing from previous tournaments.
