Hero's stack: 12400

Analysis:
Preflop: This may be a little loose to raise preflop, although it could be deemed a bit loose with a suited A2 and no other wheel cards.
Flop: Standard. Hero has little equity.

Hero dealt in BB: As Jx 9x 6x 2c

Preflop:
Vil6 (UTG): calls
(folds to Vil3)

Hero: bets 1100
Vil6: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has 1 pair in MW pot and no blockers or much equity.
Turn: This is an ok spot to bet for value. This is also an easy bet/fold if raised. Hero may get value from naked Kxxx.
River: Standard. This is likely a bet/call, although somewhat reluctantly. Would a KKxx play hand in such a way? Possibly.

---------------
Level 8 - PLO8/Big O Blinds: 200/400; LO8 Blinds: 300/600 Limits: 600/1200

PLO8

River: Kx Tx 2d 4d 9x (rainbow)
Vil6: checks
Hero: bets 3000?
Vil6: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: This is probably a better spot to continue aggression. This does not really hit either player's ranges.
Turn: Hero bets as semi-bluff/value with intention of betting most rivers.
River: This is a river that hero bets as a bluff. Most draws that call on turn miss.

---------------
Hero's stack at Level 9 break (Limits: 800/1600) - 15000

---------------
Level 9 - PLO8/Big O Blinds: 300/500; LO8 Blinds: 400/800 Limits: 800/1600

River: Ks 8s 5c Td 6h
Vil1: bets
Hero: raises
Vil1: calls

Vil1: shows Kx Tx 8x 4x
Hero: chops pot

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard with strong non-suited A2 in LP position.
Flop: Hero continues with strong top pair hand/no flush draw. This might have been a better spot to bet/3 bet.
Turn: Hero plays conservatively after picking up gut shot.
River: Hero raises with nut low + top pair to try to get villain to fold worser high hand (bad 2 pair). Hero may also accidentally 3/4 villain sometimes too.

---------------

(2 players - 13.25 big bets in pot)
River: Qs 7h 5h 3x 3d
Hero: checks
Vil1: checks

Vil1: shows Ah Jd 4c 2c

Hero: gets 3/4 pot.

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has top pair + nut low draw without flush draw.
Turn: Standard. Hero likely has best two way hand. Vil1's raise may mean a better high hand though, or sometimes raising with naked low and worser high hand. Hero is rarely getting scooped when only 1 player calls.
River: Hero probably should have bet/call in this spot. Hero is either chopping or getting 3/4 more often than not with top pair, top kicker.

After hand, hero realizes Vil1 goes crazy with naked low and a nut flush blocker card (without actual flush) on 2 flush board.

---------------
Big O

Hero dealt in SB: Ax Kx 8x 5x 2x (rainbow)

(7 handed, Vil4 likely busted)
Preflop:
Vil1 (HJ): calls
Vil2 (CO): calls
Vil3 (But): calls
Hero (SB): calls

(5 players - 2500 in pot)
Flop: Kc 8s 5h

Vil3: checks

(3 players - 7700 in pot)
River: Kc 8s 5h 5s 4h
Hero: bets 5300
Vil1: folds
Vil3: calls

Hero does not remember what Vil3 shows, but hero may have scooped or it may have been Ax 2x Xx Xx Xx.

Hero gets 3/4 or scoops.

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero likely has best hand (bottom 2 pair) + nut low draw.
Turn: Hero has a lock on hand. Does hero continue to build pot or does hero slowplay? Hero decides to slowplay to let hero quarter a villain.
River: Hero makes standard value bet, but should this bet size be larger in general in a "likely quartering spot". Hero thinks that bet size was too small. This should be closer to 6500-7000 but not say "pot", hero gets much more value from a balance perspective.

---------------
PLO8

Hero dealt in But: Kh Kx Qh 8x

Preflop:
(folds to Vil3)
Vil3 (HJ): calls
Vil4 (CO): raises to 1200
Hero (But): calls

Vil7 (BB): calls
Vil3: calls

(5 players - 6000 in pot)
Flop: Ah 4h Qd
(all players check)

(5 players - 6000 in pot)
Turn: Ah 4h Qd 9d
Vil6: checks
Vil7: bets 4000
Vil3: folds
Vil4: calls
Hero: folds
Vil6: calls

(3 players - 18000 in pot)
River: Ah 4h Qd 9d 3h
(all players check)

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard. Hero is trying to set mine for top set of kings or possibly 2nd nut flush draw in MW pot.
Flop: Standard. Hero has nut flush draw, but little fold equity on an A high board.
Turn: Standard. Hero is not getting right price to draw to nut flush draw with no low.

---------------

1 new player from redraw
2 empty
3 older guy with beard
4 older Asian (Young Ji), also mentioned PLO8 bracelet event
5 hero
6 older guy with glasses and NYG jersey
7 balding middle aged guy
8 guy with slicked back hair

---------------
Level 11 - PLO8/Big O Blinds: 400/800; LO8 Blinds: 600/1200 Limits: 1200/2400

Big O

Hero dealt in But: Ah Ax Kx Jx 6h

Vil7 (BB): calls

(3 players - 5400 in pot)
Flop: 5d 9d 6h
Vil6: bets 4000
Vil7: folds
Hero: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has backdoor nut flush draw and overpair with no low on 2 low board. Easy fold since hero has little equity and only backdoor draws in multiway pot.

---------------
PLO8

Hero dealt in UTG: Ah Qx 4x 3h

(7 handed, Vil1 busted)
Preflop:
Hero (UTG): raises to 1800
(all players fold)

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.

---------------

Vil4: checks
Hero: bets
Vil4: calls

(2 players - 4.5 big bets in pot)
River: Kx 7s 4x Qs Jd
Vil4: checks
Hero: bets
Vil4: folds

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard. Hero has great equity in 3 way pot with TPTK + 2nd nut low draw.
Turn: In HU pot, hero continues to bet for value.
River: Hero is still betting for value as rivered worse 2 pairs (perhaps with busted low draw) were calling.

---------------
LO8

Hero dealt in SB: Kh Tx 3x 2h

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (SB, 14k/4.5 BB): raises
Vil6 (BB, 13.9k/4.5 BB): reraises
Hero: calls

(2 players - 6 small bets in pot)
Flop: Ax 5x 2h
Hero: bets
Vil6: tanks/calls

(2 players - 4 big bets in pot)
Turn: Ax 5x 2h 8h
Hero: check
Vil6: check

(2 players - 6 small bets in pot)
Flop: Ax 5x 2h
Hero: bets (400, Vil6 is all in)
Vil6: calls

Vil6: shows Ad Ax 5x 3x
Hero's stack: 14k

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard. Limp/calling may also work in LO8 blind versus blind. Hero is forced to call reraise.
Flop: Hero donk bets in hopes that villain bricked. This is likely a spew. Hero should be check/calling for backdoor flush draw, gutshot wheel, or something similar.
Turn: Hero slows down with live 3 low draw and bottom pair. Vil6's check behind indicates a not great hand.
River: Hero bets with live low + decent flush. This was probably a spew as Vil6 may be calling with a scooping hand, and there is little fold equity.

---------------
Big O

Hero dealt in But: Tx 9x 4c 3c 2x

Preflop:
(folds to Hero)
Hero (But): raises to 2200
Vil6 (SB): calls
Vil7 (BB): calls

(3 players - 6600 in pot)
Flop: Kx 4x 6x (likely rainbow board)
(all players check)

(3 players - 6600 in pot)
Turn: Kx 4x 6x Kx (likely 4 tone rainbow board)
(all players check)

(3 players - 6600 in pot)
River: Kx 4x 6x Kx 5x (hero suspects rainbow board)
Vil6: bets 6000
Vil7: folds
Hero: calls

Vil6: shows A3xx
Hero: chops pot.

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: Standard as hero has little fold equity and hand strength.
Turn: Standard. Given hero's flop check, there is no fold equity in betting turn.
River: A not easy call. Hero has 3rd nut low and pair. Hero could be getting scooped a decent amount of time.

---------------
Hero's stack: 6600

---------------
Level 12 - PLO8/Big O Blinds: 500/1000; LO8 Blinds: 800/1500 Limits: 1500/3000

(3 players - 6 big bets in pot)
Turn: Kh 8h 3d Jd
Vil7: bets

Hero: calls (all in)

(3 players - 8 1/5 big bets in pot, 1 player all in)
River: Kh 8h 3d Jd 9c
Vil7: checks
Vil8: checks

Vil7 or Vil8 shows at least 1 pair.
Hero: out

Analysis:
Preflop: Standard.
Flop: This should actually be a check. Hero has nut flush blocker, which may have some fold equity. Hero also has a pair + 4th nut low. But, does hero really have much fold equity on a K83 two tone board? There would be a better price to check and offer worse pot odds on turn (plus two additional pieces of info if Vil7 and Vil8 both check the turn. As played, hero is forced to call closing action.
Turn: There is too much money in pot to consider folding.

---------------
Hero out around 64/186.

Analysis:
Hero believes that there are still leaks in LO8 that need to be plugged. Hero is gaining some comfort in LO8 short handed situations though.
Hero played decently in PLO8 and Big O.

The field seemed like a mixed bag of players. Many of the experienced players wanted to play the tournament to gain experience in this format before the WSOP version.
One player looking to gain experience in this format was Young Ji (2015 $1500 PLO8 bracelet winner). He was at some of the tables as hero starting around level 10. He was very talkative and friendly.

This was also a reminder of a mixed limit tournament. It's the limit rounds that are the bigger concern with causing eliminations and stack pressures.
