WSOP PLO8 1.5k satellites at the Rio

sat 1/2 - $175 pays $1620 (3 $500 chips + 120 cash)
sat 3 - $325 pays $3120 (6 $500 chips + 120 cash)

chops happen very often when it gets down to 2-3 players
structure is very shallow and fast

15 min. levels at $175; 1k starting chips (25/25, 25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 150/300)
20 min. levels at $325; 1.5k starting chips (same blind amounts)

---------------
sat 1
"crazy cuban" to my left - very action oriented

i won 1 pot with a preflop raise/cbet

jammed ak62
high board - got scooped and was out

"crazy cuban" won first sat
----------------
sat 2

slow table
first hand - i raised utg w/ ak64 - flopped pair + low draw
bet - no action

also got scooped for tournament life with ahwx hand - high board with no pair for me
--------
sat 3

there were a lot of players who I later saw playing the 5-10 "Big O" (5 card plo8) or went deep in the WSOP 1.5k event.

checked flop (5 way, limped pot) - utg + 2
q753
a255 -> 3/4 someone
a246

not a lot of action/playable hands/stealing opportunities

doubled up short stack when i couldn't backdoor half

qq34 - jam preflop
on t946
vs. qt82
j -> drawing dead

-----
unfortunately, i had not kept up with the WSOP and missed watching Ivey win his 8th braclet in $3k horse
