This hand occurred about 7 hands after hero sat down (as late registrant)
At this point, a number of players were already fishy from shown down hands - seats 2, 4, 5)
Blinds: 25/50
Hero dealt in UTG: AKQ92 (A2)(KQ) ds
Preflop:
Hero: limped UTG
3 players limp
SB: folds
Vil7: raised pot
Hero: calls
other players: call
(5 players - 1250 in pot)
Flop: 6h 4h 2h
Vil7: Bets 1000
Hero: thinks, folds
other players fold
Analysis:
The villain's raise preflop could have indicated 2 things: AAxxx or A2xxx with A2 suited.
Hero can't call hoping to get 1/2 pot back with no low/2nd nut flush draw.

One villain shows weak T high flush.
Hero gets 1/2 pot.
Analysis:
Flop/Turn: Hero could have shown aggression on flop/turn/river with uncounterfeitable and rare low.
River: Hero actually thought about check raising river...
Honestly, there was some missed fold equity that hero should have utilized...hero's rarely getting quartered in this spot. Maybe it's 5th card and hero was playing very conservatively b/c villains didn't seem to fold very often.
---------------
read on seat 2: raised preflop with naked AA (no suit, no low)

Hero gets quartered.
Hero's stack: 5625
Analysis:
Preflop: Pretty standard all the way. Hero had made one other raise in ~2.5 rotations, but played maybe 15-20% VPIP.
Flop: This was pretty much a cooler on flop/turn. Villain had 2 outs for 3/4. Hero could have backed into half with A/2.
---------------
just before break
Hero dealt UTG: AAQT5 (A5 suited)
Preflop:
Hero limps
2 other limps
Vil6 (SB): calls

Turn: Qc Qs Js 4s
(2 players - 3500 in pot)
River: Qc Qs Js 4s 8h
Vil7: bets 3k
Hero: thinks for a little while, then folds.
Analysis:
Flop: Hero bets top trips.
Turn: Hero could have tried a 2nd barrel, but it's not for value.
Villain's range is {boats, trips+top kicker (same hand), or some bad flush draws (since villain seemed somewhat bad drawing to flushes on paired board in previous hand)
River: Villain donks the river for value. This is rarely bluff and likely boat (QJxxx or Q8xxx).
---------------
Hero's stack: 5625 @ 150/300
At this juncture, hero realized pots were very loose/passive. Raises seemed very rare.
---------------
Fun note:
This poker tournament has a "check the nuts on the river in position, 1 round penalty).
Not at my table, this came into affect on a high only board and villain had nuts.
Villain didn't realize they had nuts and was forced to have a round penalty.

(2 players, 1 all in - 6150 in pot)

Analysis:
Preflop/Flop: Standard. Hero didn't realize he had a redraw to boats (4 outs) on turn.
Hero's stack: 3025

A late registrant arrives and sits in seat 6.

Flop: Ac 9h 2h
Hero: checks
Vil1: checks
Vil6: bets 1000
Hero: tanks
Vil1 (doesn't see hero) - calls 1000
Hero goes in tank for a while. Vil1 doesn't realize hero had a hand (2nd time in the tournament) and calls 1000.
Hero asks what happens if hero raises or calls.
Vil1's action is binding if it's a call.
Eventually, after ~5.5 minutes, clock gets called and hero jams all in.
Vil1: folds
Vil6: calls
Vil6: shows QJT43r
Turn: Ac 9h 2h Js 3d
River: Ac 9h 2h Js 3d
Hero doubles up to ~5600.
Analysis.
Flop: Initially, hero was going to play pot control. Honestly, this was definitely a spot to donk bet as hero can get most/all of stack in on a wet flop and get called by hands with much worse equity.
As played, Vil6 bets.
The interesting part is Vil1's flat call out of turn.
Advantages to check/raising: Hero is more likely to scoop by Vil6 folding.
Disadvantages to check/raising: Hero's hand is not super strong in this spot. Hero could be passive and "wait for a safe turn". Many turn cards bring flush cards or fill wheel wraps.

Analysis:
Preflop: Hero could limp behind and play smaller pot, but raising here is better for value against 2 weaker players.
Flop/Turn: Standard. Unfortunately, villain had an Axxxx in this spot (good for flop call) and backed into a low (not so great).

Blinds: 300/600

Hero limped these hands in preflop behind 2-3 other players.
Ax Ad Qs 9s 7c

Analysis: Hero could have considered just jamming AIPF against the limpers. Raises seemed to have some fold equity. However, hero was playing really passively.

Hero dealt in BB: AK763 on 985r
Preflop:

Hero checks.
Flop: 985 r

Hero doubles up.
Analysis: Hero could have raised preflop, but fold equity seemed not existent with 2.5 BB.
Hero's stack: 2800 @ 300/600
---------------
Hero's stack at break: 5500 @ 400/800
Table still seemed relatively soft at this point.

Preflop:

Hero: checks
Flop: AJ9 two tone (hero has no flush draw)

Board: AJ963 flush does not complete.

Analysis: Is this spot any different with ~2 BB? Should hero jam preflop? Possibly, but hero feels fold equity doesn't exist here either.

Hero's stack: ~2200
Hero dealt in CO: KK543 r
4 limpers in front
Hero: limps.
Flop: T54 rainbow

Analysis: It might have been better to raise and go AIPF on this hand.
---------------
Hero has ~3000 in chips and gets in some AIPF situations. Hands folded to hero.
Hero dealt: AJT52 (A7 ss) and chops.
Hero's AQ732 3/4> AQT32

Hero dealt in BB: KQJ88 (Q8 ss)
Preflop:
Vil5 (HJ): raises to 4000
Vil7 (SB): calls
Hero (BB): ?
Hero folds
Flop: KQ8 rainbow
Analysis:
Preflop: Hero only had to call 100 even though hero doesn't have potential to get half. This should have been a call.
---------------
Short stack ninja: Hero had A + paint (KQJT) + 2/3 + at least 1 other low card. (Hands went so quickly and hero didn't write down all the preflop situations.)
Hero was all in SB for 100 - got 1/4 (4 players in pot)
Hero called on button for 100 - got 1/4 (3 players in pot)
Hero goes all in CO and quadruples to 400 (4 players in pot).
Hero chopped, and then got 3/4.
Hero's AQ732 == AQT32 on 8A232
Hero's AA652 3/4 > AJ765 on 26598.
Hero's stack: 2200 @ 600/1200
---------------
Hero was all in preflop in BB.
Hero dealt in BB: AQJ62 (AQ suited).
Preflop:
3 players limp
(3 players - ~4000 in pot)
Flop: 7775T
3 players check
(3 players - ~4000 in pot)
Turn: 7775T 2 tone on turn, flush completes on river
3 players check
(3 players - ~4000 in pot)
River: 7775T flush completes on river
Vil7 donks into 2 players
2 folds
Vil7: Shows KKxxx and scoops pot.
---------------
Overall Thoughts:
Hero's not happy w/ play. There's no reason to be passive even with short stacks against really passive/bad opponents.
The tournament was very soft. There were very few players that seemed overly competent.
Hero out 31/82. 9 places pay out.
