As I prepare for my 4th consecutive trip to LV, I initially scheduled (then cancelled) playing a stud/8 MTT at the Venetian. As I further looked at the scheduled, I noticed that the stud/8 WSOP event could coincide. (I don't know why it didn't catch my eye initially when the schedule was released).
I have some time to prepare, but am I spreading myself too thin by preparing in 3 different variants?
I do have the benefit of a couple online warmups (Poker Maximus V):

There are some online daily/weekly MTTs I can supplement too..
The real question is: can I prepare for a WSOP "downside" table draw?
Upside:
I had a really soft table in 2011 WSOP PLO8.
I had a really soft table in 2011 WSOP PLO8.
Downside:
Could I have as bad of a table draw as I had in 2012 WSOP PLO8?
a. As I was looking through some threads, I noticed something that I didn't notice in the past:WSOP PLO8 Table - I was sitting to the left of Giffordian, a well known PLO8 cash/MTT player.
b. Only 2 people ended up doing super well in the event - 25th and 3rd...and no, it was not (a).
So I need to try to decide relatively quickly on playing this event, as it could add to the length of the trip by a day or so....and how much time (if any) i should allocate to stud/8.
PS: The West Palm Beach trip report is going to appear sometime soon!
